Healthy teeth requires minerals, vitamins, and other nutrients, when there is insufficient content of any makes tooth decay. Tooth decay looks like a hole or a cavity which is caused due to deficiency of these minerals which gets absorbed by bones and other part of the body. This process is called demineralization. Teeth have the cells and covered with high mineral substances called dentin, enamel.

Tooth Decay or Caries(taken from latin word, rot), main reasons for the tooth decay are Toothpaste which are most common cause of tooth decay. Toothpaste are the most used as the teeth whitening option but due to wrong selection of the toothpaste which contains high degree of glycerin cause teeth decay. Glycerin is a substance which is not easily washed from the teeth, it requires more and more washes. Due to this other minerals become unable to take part in Enamel. Which cause tooth decay.

In many cases Insufficient calcium and vitamins in parents is suffered by children too. This is because of the same eating habits and food. This food doesn’t contain the proper nutrients which are required for the teeth.

Sometime our body becomes toxic and we carry on to ingest these toxins. The main source of these toxins are vegetable oils, high sugar containing products, butter, drugs etc. These toxins make body consume more nutrients and healthy products which are essential for the teeth.

In many cases high concentration of fluoride consumption also cause tooth decay. If it is taken in limit then it is very helpful and effective for the teeth. Water containing excess of Fluoride cause dental fluorosis which damages ameloblasts. According to WHO only 1.5 mg\litre of fluoride is permissible in water.
