In many countries, Obesity figures are more alarming than any other health problem. Many experts do believe that one of the prime causes of obesity is overeating. Most people are fond of fast food as they are high calories
products but we keep on eating them than more we need.
Most of us are also caught in overeating because we are taught to eat everything on our plate, this make us to overeat. Although there are lots of diets and exercises are suggested to lose weight but with overeating we never going to lose a large portion.
Here are some simple tips to reduce your eating portions:
Wait for Ten Minutes: Generally, people used to say that they are overeaten. The one of the reason of this overeating may be that our stomach takes time to tell our brains that it is full and in that time we keep on eating. To avoid this, keep safe conversation going on, or read newspaper or do some job that divert you from eating much.
Don’t go for eating Everything: From over point of view it is bad habit to eat everything we are served without considering calorie intake. Eat according to the body, don’t overload it.
Don’t go for Big: Try to avoid the habit of eating a lot, but some people like to fill their plate with the big portion of food. If you are one of them then don’t go for high-calorie food, try to fill your plate with healthy vegetables, salad or soup. These items are low-fat foods, enrich with water and low in calories, so if you take a large portion of these items then it is not going to create a problem.
Don’t put leftover food in front of you while Eating: Take the food on your plate and put leftover food away from the table because when it is not lying in front of you then when your plate is empty you will think to end the meal, otherwise without taking a second you will put extra food in your stomach that you should not.
Finish your meal with fruits and vegetables: Always try to left some space for fruits after ending your meal. The fruits that are beneficial after the meal are berries, melons, grapes, mangoes, watermelons, oranges, dates etc. Also take carrots or capsicums, or a sliced tomato, or unsweetened fruit salad with your meal.
These are the simple weight loss tips which we should include in our daily life. Also there are many other ways too which may help you to cut down some more portion like don’t eat directly from the packet because in that you will make yourself to finish it while you can take some in plate and rest can be stored. So it’s on to you how you observe your habit, a little changes can make a lot of differences.
